Every mode answers a different relationship question. If you are choosing under pressure on a Friday night, read the middle column and pick the one that matches the mood you are actually in.

| Dare Dice | Zero-planning dares — pick up, roll, do. | Busy couples, Couples with kids, Couples in routines |
| Who's More Likely To | Discover how you actually see each other — not how you assume you do. | New couples, Long-distance couples, Group settings |
| Would You Rather | Find out what your partner actually wants when forced to choose. | Casual couples, Long-distance couples, Curious partners |
Playing long-distance versus side by side
Four of the eight modes are asynchronous by design: both partners answer privately on their own iPhone and Midnight only reveals the comparison once you have both finished. That makes Red Flag / Green Flag and Blind Compatibility workable across time zones, where a live buzzer game would not be. Truth or Drink, Dare Dice and The Wheel assume you are in the same room or on a call together.
If you are usually apart, the Midnight guide for long-distance couples covers which modes travel best and how to pair them with shared widgets. If you are newly dating, Midnight for new couples explains which games are safe openers and which ones to save.

How Midnight games actually work
Midnight's eight game modes are not mini-games bolted onto a chat app. Each one is built around a real relationship question: are we aligned, how do we handle trade-offs, how do we keep things playful over time. Some are async so long-distance couples can trade turns across a day. Others are meant for the couch on a Sunday night.
Every round stays private between you and your partner. No feeds, no leaderboards, no strangers. Save the moments you want to re-read later to your shared memories.
