Would You Rather
Impossible choices, revealing answers. You both pick in secret, then flip your answers together.
What it's for: Find out what your partner actually wants when forced to choose.
How to play Would You Rather
- Open Play in Midnight and choose a heat level: Warm, Hot or Bold.
- A card shows two options. Each of you picks one on your own iPhone or iPad.
- Neither of you sees the other's pick until you have both voted; then both answers turn over at once.
- Talk through the ones you split on, then swipe to the next card. The deck holds more than 200 prompts written for couples.
When to play it
Evening wind-downs, after a long day, or any time 'talk about your day' has lost its magic.

How to get more out of Would You Rather
Commit before you look
The reveal only works if both picks are honest. Answer for yourself, not for the answer you expect your partner to give.
Do not soften the dilemma
Answering "it depends" or picking both is the reflex, and it removes the only mechanism the mode has. Forced choice is the feature.
Ask why before you swipe
The split answers are the interesting ones. Before the next card, each of you says in one sentence why you picked what you did; that is where the conversation starts.
The mistake most couples make
Treating it purely as a laugh generator. The silly prompts are the on-ramp; if you never move past them the mode stays a time-filler instead of telling you anything.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a party Would You Rather game?
The prompts are written for two people in a relationship rather than a group, and neither of you can see the other's answer before committing to your own, so nobody quietly adjusts a pick to match.
Do we have to be in the same room?
No. Each of you plays on your own iPhone or iPad and votes sync between you, so it works on the same sofa or across time zones. The reveal simply waits until you have both answered.
How spicy does it get?
You choose. Warm is playful and fine for any evening, Hot is more romantic and flirty, and Bold is for adults who want the intimate questions. You can switch levels between cards.
Is Would You Rather free in Midnight?
The four games are part of Midnight Pro. Midnight itself is free to start, and one subscription on either phone unlocks the games for both partners.
