Frequently Asked Questions

If you've previously purchased a premium subscription and need to restore it on a new device or after reinstalling the app:

  1. 1. Open the Midnight app
  2. 2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. 3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
  4. 4. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase

If you're still having issues, ensure you're signed in with the correct Apple ID and that the subscription is still active.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Midnight does not have the ability to cancel subscriptions directly.

To cancel:

  1. 1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device
  2. 2. Tap your name at the top
  3. 3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. 4. Select Midnight
  5. 5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Note: You'll continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

You have two options for deleting your data:

Option 1: Delete Account (In-App)

  1. 1. Open Midnight and go to Settings
  2. 2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. 3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. 4. Confirm the deletion

Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Option 2: Request Data Deletion (Email)

You can also request complete data deletion by emailing us:

Please include your user ID (found in Settings β†’ Account) for faster processing.

Linking with your partner allows you to play games together, share moods, and access couple features:

  1. 1. Open Midnight and go to the Profile tab
  2. 2. Tap "Link Partner"
  3. 3. Share your unique link code with your partner via your preferred method
  4. 4. Your partner enters the code in their app
  5. 5. Once both parties confirm, you're linked!

You can unlink at any time from the same screen. Note that unlinking will remove access to shared content.

Solo mode is designed for users who want to explore Midnight's features before linking with a partner, or for those who prefer to use the app independently.

In solo mode, you can:

  • β€’ Play all single-player games and quizzes
  • β€’ Track your mood and journal entries
  • β€’ Build your personal wishlist
  • β€’ Use the movie matcher for personal recommendations
  • β€’ Explore all features at your own pace

When you're ready, you can easily link with a partner to unlock couple features and shared experiences. Your solo progress will be preserved.

If you've been charged but premium features aren't unlocking:

  1. 1. Try "Restore Purchases" in Settings
  2. 2. Force-close and reopen the app
  3. 3. Ensure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for purchase
  4. 4. Check that the subscription shows as active in your Apple ID settings

If the issue persists after trying these steps:

  • β€’ Contact us at contact@getmidnight.app
  • β€’ Include your Apple ID email and approximate purchase date
  • β€’ Attach a screenshot of your App Store receipt if available

Midnight is currently available for:

  • β€’ iPhone running iOS 26.2 or later
  • β€’ iPod touch running iOS 26.2 or later

Not currently supported:

  • β€’ iPad (coming in a future update)
  • β€’ Android devices
  • β€’ Web/browser version

  • β€’ No ads, no tracking β€” We don't sell data or use invasive trackers
  • β€’ Anonymous analytics β€” Usage data cannot identify you personally
