A couples app that doesn't assume who you are
Most couples apps are built around unspoken defaults — he/she, marriage-first, monogamy. Midnight's prompts, games, and content work for any pairing, any pronouns, any relationship structure.
What we hear from lgbtq+ couples
- Gendered prompts that assume hetero dynamics
- Content that treats marriage as the default milestone
- Apps built around anniversaries of ceremonies that aren't legally recognized everywhere
- Having to mentally translate every prompt to fit your relationship
What in Midnight actually helps
Pronoun-neutral prompts across all games
Every Would You Rather, Truth or Drink, and Blind Compatibility question is written to work for any two partners — we audited the library specifically for this.
Your milestones, your way
Track the anniversaries that matter to you — first date, commitment ceremony, moving in, anything — not just a wedding date.
No 'his / hers' framing anywhere
Labels, emoji sets, and prompt copy are deliberately neutral. No pink/blue gender reveal aesthetic.
Real moments this shows up
- Anniversary of the day you committed, whether or not that was a wedding — tracked and celebrated the same way.
- Playing Blind Compatibility on a quiet Sunday and finding every question works as written.
- Logging mood and planning together without having to translate assumptions the app made about who does what.
Frequently asked questions
Is Midnight actually designed with LGBTQ+ couples in mind, or just 'not explicitly excluding'?
We audit prompts with queer users before release and remove anything that assumes a gendered dynamic. It's an ongoing commitment — if you find something that doesn't land, we want to hear about it via the support page.
Does Midnight support non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships?
Midnight is built around a two-person pairing, so the app itself connects two partners. Many of our users in non-monogamous structures use it with one specific partner. A multi-partner version isn't on the current roadmap.
